Make meditation easy and accessible with the transformative power of Vedic Meditation.
What is Vedic Meditation?
Vedic Meditation is a practice that originates from ancient Indian traditions and is based on the extensive wisdom found in the Vedas, which are over 5000 years old. This technique encourages profound relaxation and enhances mental clarity by utilising a particular mantra.
This is a 20-minute practice that anyone can pick up, done twice a day, and taught by a qualified Vedic teacher using a straightforward approach. It involves a silent internal mantra, which is a vibrational sound. The mantra is called a Bija mantra, with "Bija" meaning "seed" in Sanskrit. This means you're planting a seed within yourself and allowing it to develop. By bringing your mantra into your awareness, you can effortlessly use it to help you transcend into a more profound state.
Vedic practice encourages personal growth without any judgment or control. There's no need for intense focus or strain on the mantra, mind, or body. You just gently bring the mantra to your awareness and allow it to guide you effortlessly. As you do this, your body and mind naturally relax, much like an anchor sinking into the deep ocean. acknowledges that thoughts are an inherent and automatic aspect of our minds, encouraging you to connect with the calming power of your mantra. This helps to relax the mind, letting you glide effortlessly between mantra, thoughts, and a tranquil state of thoughtlessness, leading you to your deepest essence. It feels like returning to a cherished home, a space that resonates deeply within you, almost like a piece of yourself that you thought was gone. It’s not quite a dream, nor is it fully awake or asleep. It’s that sweet spot where you’re aware yet profoundly relaxed, drifting into a different level of consciousness. In this realm, time and space lose their grip, allowing you to transcend thought and discover a sanctuary of inner calm, reflection, and limitless growth.
This approach is designed to be natural and uncomplicated, so you won’t feel like you’re trying too hard to meditate. There’s no need to push thoughts away or focus on images. You can enjoy deep states of awareness without the need for apps, headphones, or any other technology. For this meditation practice, choose a comfortable chair that supports your back and close your eyes. Allow your mind to relax and quiet down by silently repeating a mantra in your thoughts.
Vedic Meditation effortlessly settles the mind and body in the most natural and immediate way. If you often feel like your thoughts are running wild or your body is too jittery to relax, this technique is perfect for you.

How we run a Vedic Meditation course?
The course is delivered in a progressive, step-by-step manner across four sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, spread out over a period of 2 days or at a time that is mutually convenient. The course can be taught face to face or over Zoom or a combination of both methods. We can teach this course at a location conveniently located close to the Adelaide CBD or we may be able to teach the course at your location.
Along with participating in the daily sessions, students are given practice meditations to do at home. This approach helps everyone develop a solid understanding and experience with both the techniques and the core principles, enabling them to become self-sufficient by the course's conclusion.
Here’s a breakdown of the structure for a standard 4-session course (which can be taken at a mutually convenient time over a 7 day period).
Session 1: Experience the initiation ceremony to obtain your personalised mantra and learn the essential technique (approximately 1.5 hrs).
Session 2: Discover the mechanics of the mantra, master effortless meditation, and find ways to integrate your daily practice into a contemporary lifestyle (approximately 1.5 hrs).
Session 3: Take a closer look at the biology of stress and how meditation helps us let go of stress. You'll discover how your thoughts can influence your meditation, what to do when your mind wanders, and why those thoughts are not your foes (approximately 1.5 hrs).
Session 4: Find out the ongoing advantages of practicing meditation each day, like its role in changing the brain and how regular effort can help you stay in a meditative state. We’ll also examine profound, deeper layers of consciousness (approximately 1.5 hrs).
